University Police Reports: April 29, 1998

INCIDENTS

Officers charged a male non-student for trespassing at 9:00 a. m. He
had been banned from campus in the past for repeated violations of the
University's policy on solicitation in the academic area.

A student reported that a mirror was damaged on her car between
10:20 a. m. and 10:30 a. m. while she was parked in the Helder lot.

Officers investigated a traffic accident in the Print Shop lot at 12:14 p. m.

An employee reported a domestic situation for information purposes.

Officers assisted WCU EMS at Killian Annex where a female non-student
had fainted at 3:05 p. m.

Officers witnessed an accident on Speedwell Road above the baseball
stadium where a vehicle ran off the embankment at 12:10 a. m. The car
was totaled. The driver, a male student, was slightly injured.

Officers responded to two disturbance calls in Leatherwood between
1:00 p. m. and 2:00 a. m. and one fight call between Helder and
Leatherwood at 1:25 a. m. A male student was banned from that
residence hall for the night.

A member of the faculty reported that a tire was punctured on his car at
approximately 1:50 a. m. in front of McKee. Officers responded and
found two other cars in the McKee lot with punctured tires and one
behind Bird which had a window broken.

Student workers reported that a group of males had exited a car in the
Walker A lot, picked up a car and moved it at 2:40 a. m. The owner of
the suspect vehicle has not been contacted as yet. The investigation is
continuing.
