University Police Reports: April 26, 1999

INCIDENTS

Officers found a vehicle parked in the Methodist Church lot with a loaded
shotgun behind the seat at 7:15 a.m. and confiscated the weapon. The
vehicle belongs to a student. The investigation is continuing pending an
interview.

Grounds crew reported that a vehicle in the fire lane at Walker had been
damaged when a lawn mower threw an object into the right rear door at
10:40 a. m.

Officers responded to an alarm in Stillwell at 11:00 a. m. caused by
workers in the old Math Computer lab.

Officers served a magistrate's summons in a civil case on a male student
at 12:30 a. m.

At 1:25 p. m., a male student reported that his car had been damaged,
but he did not know where the damage occurred.

Officers responded to a fire alarm in Harrill at 1:37 a. m. caused by an
activated pull station on the 5th floor. Electricians had to be called in to
reset the pull station.

Officers responded to a fire alarm in Belk caused by burned food in the
cooking lab at 12:13 a. m.

Officers responded to a fire alarm in the Old Student Union at 2:40 p. m.
caused by a power outage.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on the 4th floor of Scott
Hall after receiving an incomplete phone call from a room there at 9:48 p.
m. Officers escorted the male involved from the building and banned him
from Scott pending further review.

Officers responded to a report of loud noise on the 6th floor of Walker
and with Housing staff learned that a male and female had been arguing
loudly at 2:33 a. m. Officers asked the female student to return to her
own room.

SECURITY VIOLATIONS

Belk: Door #4 ajar and #3 propped and windows in 181 open at 0347.
Stadium: Pedestrian gate open at 0110.
OSU: Door #2 ajar at 0015.
Killian Anx: Door #6 unlocked at 0053.
