At 3:15 a. m. on 8/6, students in Albright reported that a male was acting
disorderly on a female floor of the residence hall. The male had torn the
shirt of another student who tried to escort him off the floor. Warrants
were drawn charging the first student with damage to personal property
and he was arrested.
Officers provided traffic control and security for the summer
Commencement at the Ramsey Center on 8/6. During the event, persons
in attendance noticed a bag of marijuana which had been dropped on the
concourse and turned the material over to officers there.
Housing staff reported that a student had left several articles of personal
property in a room in Albright when she moved out at 11:15 p. m. on 8/6.
Officers took possession of the property and contacted the owner.
Officers responded to a fire alarm at Moore at 10:45 a. m. on 8/7 caused
by cooking in the SECT wing.
Officers assisted a computer technician who needed to get into the
warehouse to work on a computer system at 11:00 a. m. on 8/7.
Officers responded to a fire alarm at Scott at 5:08 p. m. on 8/7. The
cause is unknown.
Officers interviewed members of the floor cleaning contractors at Brown
about repeated security violations at Brown and Dodson at 1:05 a. m. on
8/8.
A father expressed concern about contractors working in Scott during
move-in activities on 8/8.
Housing staff reported a rat in the kitchen of Helder Hall at 8:45 p. m. on
8/8.
