At 9:45 p. m. on 9/30, officers investigated a traffic accident where a
pedestrian walked in front of a car at the crosswalk on Centennial Drive
at Dodson. No injuries resulted. The pedestrian, a male visitor, was
intoxicated.
At 1:26 p. m. on 10/1, officers responded to a fire alarm in Scott caused
by construction workers cutting tile.
At 4:00 p. m. on 10/1, a female student reported that she was receiving
harassing phone calls in Helder.
At 5:05 p. m. on 10/1, officers responded to a fire alarm in Scott caused
by construction dust.
At 7:40 p. m. on 10/1, a female student reported that she had lost her
credit card.
At 8:00 p. m. on 10/1, a student reported that his car was damaged by a
hit & run vehicle while it was parked in the Coulter lot.
At 9:35 p. m. on 10/1, officers received information that a male WCU
student may have run away with a 17 year old female he met on the
Internet in Indiana. The investigation is continuing.
At 2:30 a. m. on 10/2, a male and female student reported that they were
sprayed with a liquid from a window in Benton Hall. The investigation is
continuing.
At 3:54 p. m. on 10/2, officers reported that they had found a credit card
which belongs to a male student. The owner has not been located.
Officers provided traffic control and security for the WCU/Furman
football game on 10/2.
At 8:33 p. m. on 10/2, officers referred a male student to Student Affairs
for underage possession of alcohol in the parking lot at Leatherwood.
At 2:47 a. m. on 10/3, a student reported that someone had broken the
rear window from his vehicle with a beer bottle while he was parked
near Albright between 2:30 and 2:47 a. m.
At 11:40 a. m. on 10/3, officers assisted employees from the Cyber Cafe
with getting into Dodson Cafeteria.
At 8:05 p. m. on 10/3, a detective from Wake County asked officers to
check a room in Harrill to see if a 17 year old male who had been
reported as a runaway was there. Officers found the subject there and
asked that he call his parents. No papers were filed in Wake County to
hold him.
