At 9:00 p. m. on 10/25, a staff member reported an accident at the
intersection of Centennial and Central.
At 11:00 a. m. on 10/27, a female visitor reported a suspicious person in
the locker room at Reid. Reid staff helped to identify the person who
works in Reid and was participating in normal activities.
At 10:00 a. m., library staff reported the fraudulent use of a CatCard to
obtain compact disks and books which occurred on March 1, 1999.
Officers found that the incident had already been reported by the owner
of the card on May 1, 1999.
At 10:45 a. m., a local resident reported a near accident caused by
reckless driving by a female student which occurred off campus.
At 11:55 a. m., officers assisted WCU EMS with a female student who
was choking on the 7th floor of Scott Hall.
At 1:40 p. m., a staff member reported that her car had been struck by
the band train on 10/27. The investigation is continuing.
At 3:02 p. m., officers investigated a traffic accident at University Way
and Centennial where a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle. Injuries were
minor.
At 3:10 p. m., a female student reported a traffic accident which had
occurred in the Belk C Lot.
At 3:23 p. m., officers assisted Jackson County deputies with a school
bus accident which occurred on Speedwell Road.
At 3:30 p. m., a student reported that she was receiving harassing phone
calls at her room in Madison. Officers identified the source of the calls
and counseled the residents of that room. The investigation is continuing.
At 4:08 p. m., officers stopped a vehicle for running a flashing red light
and cited the driver for not having an inspection certificate.
At 9:58 p. m., officers responded to a fire alarm at the Old Student Union
caused by a system malfunction.

Belk: Door #1c ajar at 0109.
Dodson: Mechanical Room unlocked at 0112.
Killian: Utility Room unlocked at 0115.
