University Police Reports: November 3, 1999

INCIDENTS

At 2:00 a. m. on 11/3, officers found a van in the stadium lot with a
broken window. A message was left with the owner who reported at
10:30 a. m. that a cd player and a radar detector had been stolen from his
vehicle.

At 9:15 a. m., University Center employees reported the theft of a 30' X 5'
banner which listed homecoming events and had been hung from the
balcony of the UC. The banner is valued at $1,018 and was noticed
missing on Saturday morning.

At 1:45 p. m., Traffic Office staff reported an irate employee whose
parking privileges had been revoked for accumulation of citations.

At 2:25 p. m., a student reported that her book bag had been stolen from
outside a room in Coulter on November 2. She found it near the elevator
and later found that her CatCard was missing. The card was used
several times until she had it canceled.

At 3:43 p. m., officers referred a male student to Housing for action after
finding alcohol in his room on the 4th floor of Walker Hall.

At 4:15 p. m., a student reported that his bicycle was stolen from a
stairwell in Albright between October 29 and 30. The bicycle is a blue
26" 21 speed "NEXT" brand.

At 4:18 p. m., officers referred a student to Housing for action after
finding a knife in his room on the 4th floor.

At 7:13 p. m., officers cited a male student for having no tail lights on his
vehicle after stopping him for running a stop sign at Centennial and
University Way.

At 3:45 a. m., officers assisted a father who had come to campus to take
his daughter's car home.

SECURITY VIOLATIONS

Stillwell: Door #4a and 10 ajar and #5 and the greenhouse unlocked at
0030.
Stadium: Players gate unlocked at 0144.
Belk: Two windows open, Door #1c ajar, and Door #16 unlocked at
0119.
Reid: Windows open at 0051.
