University Police Reports: November 5-7, 1999

INCIDENTS

At 1:15 p. m. on 11/5, students reported a hit & run in front of McKee.
The suspect vehicle was identified, but the owner of the victim vehicle
did not wish to pursue the matter.

At 10:30 p. m on 11/5, officers impounded a vehicle for parking on
campus after privileges were revoked. This vehicle had broken down at
6:00 a. m., but had not been moved during the day as instructed.

At 1:40 a. m. on 11/6, officers responded to a report of the odor of
marijuana in Helder Hall. While conducting an investigation on the 3rd
floor, officers arrested a 17-year old female visitor for resisting arrest
and assault on a police officer.

At 8:38 a. m. on 11/6, a student reported that her car was damaged by a
hit & run driver while it was parked near Helder.

At 9:50 a. m. on 11/5, a staff member in Reid reported the theft of four
cactus plants from the offices in Room 122. The investigation is
continuing.

At 2:14 p. m. on 11/6, a student reported a vehicle leaking gasoline near
Benton. Officers found that the vehicle was on the tow list and had the
owner remove it from campus.

At 6:15 p. m. on 11/6, officers found a door open on the concession
stand at the baseball field. The investigation is continuing.

At 6:24 p. m. on 11/6, a student reported that his car was damaged by a
hit & run vehicle while it was parked in the fire lane at Walker.

At 6:54 p. m. on 11/6, officers cited a male student for reckless driving at
near Wachovia Bank.

At 9:00 p. m. on 11/6, officers found a window broken on a trailer which
belongs to Brevard Electric in the baseball field lot.

At 11:38 p. m. on 11/6, officers responded to a report of the odor of
marijuana on the third floor of Leatherwood, but detected no odor.

At 2:08 a. m. on 11/7, officers arrested a male student for DWI after
seeing his vehicle speeding on Centennial Drive. Intoxilyzer results were
.16%.

At 4:40 a. m. on 11/7, officers responded to a fire alarm in Walker caused
by cigarette smoke in the study on the 4th floor.

At 9:18 a. m. on 11/7, a resident of Young Drive reported another
resident's front door open. Officers found no one at home and secured
the door.

At 5:39 p. m. on 11/7, a student reported that his car was damaged by a
hit & run vehicle at Robertson.

At 12:15 a. m. on 11/8, officers arrested two male students on the 2nd
floor of Harrill Hall for possession of marijuana and possession of
paraphernalia as a result of a report of the odor of marijuana in the area.

Moore: Door #1 unlocked at 2349 on 11/6.
McKee: Door #1e ajar at 0006 on 11/7.
Stillwell: Door #1a and 13 unlocked and 1b ajar and greenhouse door at
0008 on 11/7.
Niggli: Door #1ab and 7b unlocked at 0024 on 11/7.
Forsyth: Door #1d unlocked at 0040 on 11/7.
Killian Anx: Door #7 ajar at 0044 on 11/7.
Killian: Door #7b unlocked at 0050 pm 11/7.
Coulter: Door #7ad ajar at 0057 on 11/7.
Belk: Windows open and #4 ajar and #2 unlocked at 0144 on 11/7.
Coulter: Door #5 and 3b ajar at 0100 on 11/7.
Track: Gate open at 0250 on 11/7.

Hoey: Door #4 ajar at 2320 on 11/7.
