At 8:45 a. m., a female student reported that her commuter decal was
stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the Reid lot between 11/27
and 12/2.
At 9:45 a. m. on 12/3, officers served a magistrate's summons on a
student in a small claims action initiated off-campus.
At 11:55 a. m. on 12/3, officers responded to an alarm at the Cash Points
machine on Centennial Drive and found workers servicing the machine.
At 1:00 p. m., officers arrested two female students on charges of
financial transaction card fraud in connection. The students, over a two
month period, allegedly placed $946 worth of unauthorized calls on a
telephone calling card which did not belong to them.
At 3:00 p. m. on 12/3, officers investigated a hit & run accident which
occurred in the UC lot between 1:30 p. m. and 3:00 p. m.
At 3:30 p. m. on 12/3, a parent reported that his daughter, a female
non-student, was missing. Officers found her with her boyfriend in
Leatherwood.
At 8:42 p. m. on 12/3, officers warned a female student who was
speeding on Centennial and Central Drives.
At 2:15 a. m., on 12/4, officers arrested a male student for DWI near
Harrill Hall. Intoxilyzer results were .11%.
At 4:05 a. m. on 12/4, officers responded to a fire alarm at Reynolds
caused by cigarette smoke on the 3rd floor lounge.
At 2:00 a. m., officers reported four 15-minute loading zone signs missing
from Walker Hall.
At 2:45 a. m. on 12/5, Housing staff reported a large double pane glass
broken facing the courtyard at Benton. It appeared the glass had been
kicked.
At 2:45 a. m., officers discovered a fire extinguisher outside the back
door of Albright Hall. The unit had been discharged. It had been removed
from the first floor of Albright.
At 10:39 a. m. on 12/5, officers assisted Housing staff at Buchanan
where a key was stuck in a door.
At 3:40 a. m. on 12/5, officers found an intoxicated male non-student in
the parking lot near the print shop. After identifying him and searching his
vehicle, officers transported him to his residence in Sylva.
At 4:40 a. m. on 12/5, a passing motorist reported that someone had set
the banners on fire which had been hung from the pedestrian overpass
on NC 107. No damage was done and suspects were not located.
At 7:45 p. m. on 12/5, a driver for GJ's Pizza reported that 2 pizzas and
20 cassette tapes in a case were stolen from his car while it was parked
in the Administration Building lot between 7:20 p. m. and 7:40 p. m.
