    Hello:

Here is an essay, "Why Teachers Should Also Write," for your
consideration. And if the premise of the essay is valid, perhaps you
will consider writing an article on teaching and learning for our
    ejournal, MountainRise (http://facctr.wcu.edu/mountainrise/about.html).
So sayest MountainRise's editor who, oddly enough, is me.

    Alan

P.S. I still hope some of you will write a 100-200 narrative for
possible inclusion in The Teaching Quest, the (new) new faculty
newsletter. What can you say after being at WCU for a year that would
be helpful for the 2003-2004 group of new faculty? So far I have
received one such statement and I would like to have the newsletter
completed in early August. Can you give a few words of advice, wisdom,
experience to the incoming newbies? Thanks.
