Hello:

As people connected with the Faculty Learning Community on Teaching,
Learning & Technology, or this year's Summer Institute Focus Team on
Innovative Uses of Instructional Technology, or last year's Summer
Institute Team on Best Practices in Teaching an Online Course, or campus
leaders in and for the use of instructional technologies, and members of
the TEACHING and NEW FACULTY Listservs, I thought you might find some
interest in a one-day discussion that took place yesterday on a
professional development listserv. My guess is that the listserv
discussion will continue. I have patched a collage together (see
attachment) in response to the following question that was asked:

Does anyone have suggestions for articles that cite empirical
assessments of the impact of technology on student learning, i.e. what
do we know about how technology has improved student learning after a
decade or so? A survey article would be particularly helpful.

Thanks in advance!
