    Dukenet has informed us that they need to perform maintenance that will
    affect the oc12 backbone circuit that NCREN has between Greensboro and
    Winston-Salem. They need to reroute some fibers relative to this
    route. The maintenance will occur during the NCREN maintenance window
    of 12:00 am. and 6:00 a.m. on 5/28/2003. I'm told the relative work on
    the link should only take about 15 minutes.

    NCREN users should not experience any downtime due to this work as
    traffic will reroute over alternate paths within the central piedmont
    oc12 service ring.
