Description of work to be performed:
On Sunday, September 17, 2006, NCREN engineers will be performing a software upgrade on the router known as rtp3750-gw. The upgrade is needed in order for the router to handle future IP demands. During the upgrade all users will lose connectivity to our DNS server ncnoc(192.101.21.1). Service will be affected for the following sites:
Shentel
NISS
DTCC
UNC Public Television
NCTDA
The upgrade should take 5-10 minutes, but the entire maintenance window will be reserved.
