Re: [Net-info] NCREN Maintenance

This is latest information we have from NLR as to the cause of the
outage this morning. NLR engineers believe the outage was due to GEANT
sending a private ASN into the NLR network. The private ASN entering the
NLR backbone caused bgp instability throughout the NLR network. This
behavior is believed to be a vendor bug.

 From our view of the world, our bgp sessions with NLR were constantly
reseting so we disabled bgp with NLR. The connections to NLR was
restored at 8:50 am. If you have any questions let us know.
