            In District Court in Sylva, a male and female student charged with providing alcohol to an underaged person in connection with a reported sexual assault in September pled guilty to underage possession of alcohol. They were fined $100 and costs and placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months.

            A male non-student charged with seven counts of indecent exposure and other offenses pled guilty to six counts of indecent exposure. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail followed by 30 days of house arrest, 3 years probation, a mental health evaluation, and a $200 fine and costs including attorney fees. He may not come on the campus of Western Carolina for three years.

            A male non-student pled guilty to damage to personal property and assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the stadium on September 20. He was ordered to pay for the damages to a cell phone and not to be on the property of Western Carolina for 12 months.

            At 6:30 a. m., officers responded to a fire alarm at the Outreach Gym reported by a housekeeper. The cause is unknown.

            At 7:05 a. m., officers reported a handicapped sign missing from Walker Hall.

            At 10:00 a. m., a student in Buchanan reported that she was receiving suspicious and harassing phone calls.

            At 12:12 p. m., officers responded to a report of an unconscious student in Forsyth. Officers found an intoxicated male student there. WCU EMS and Westcare checked the student. He refused treatment. Referred to Judicial Affairs.

            At 2:05 p. m., officers investigated a traffic accident at NC 1002 and Chancellor's Drive.

            At 2:34 p. m., officers conducting an investigation in Walker were told that a parent had fallen and was injured in a stairwell there. Officers summoned WCU EMS and then WestCare. The parent was transported to Harris Regional for treatment.

            At 4:45 p. m., an employee of Carolina West Sports Medicine reported that a cabinet door in the training room of the Ramsey Center had been pried open. The door contains samples of anti-inflammatory drugs, no narcotics.'

            At 8:30 p. m., officers cited a female student for speeding 51 mph in a 20 mph zone. In a search of the vehicle, they found a marijuana pipe. The paraphernalia violation is referred to Judicial Affairs.

            At 9:00 p. m., officers found three subjects in a verbal conflict in the Brown Cafeteria parking lot. Officers identified the subjects and asked them to leave the area. Only one was a student.
